One Cloud 66, One Product
GeneralWe are consolidating all our products into one: Cloud 66!
The groundwork for this has been in progress for more than a year, firstly by adding a pre-analysis phase to determine the right solution for your application, then consolidation of our pricing variations across different products, and now we're rolling out the final changes both to our service and our documentation. The streamlined system will let you focus on your code and frameworks rather than having to decide which product to use.
While this is a huge improvement in the onboarding and usability of our service and documentation, all of the great features powering our Cloud 66 have stayed the same.
Check out our new documentation site with a focus on frameworks, improved style and fully revised content.
DigitalOcean Native LB/VPC Support
GeneralAs part of our initiative to bring greater parity to our Cloud support, I'm pleased to announce that we now support the following on DigitalOcean:
- Native load balancers: you can now use DigitalOcean's native Small, Medium and Large load balancers. Just fire up a new load balancer to see the options.
- VPC configuration: you can now use your manifest to specify your application's private networks.
PostgreSQL v15 Now Supported
GeneralWe now support PostgreSQL v15! New PostgreSQL installations will install v15 by default. You can of course still opt to install an older version via your manifest.
The PostgreSQL v15 update brings various improvements over PostgreSQL v14. If you’re looking for more detail, head over to read the official release notes.
New Ruby versions released
GeneralFor our Rails/Rack customers, the latest Ruby releases v3.1.3, v3.0.5 and v2.7.7 are now available. These are primarily security patch releases. For more information, see the official Ruby release notes.
