Welcome to the Cloud 66 Changelog. Please take a quick look at the latest changes that went out this week!
Container Stack v1 Sunset
We would like to let you know that we are moving all the Container Stack to CSv2 and will sunset the Container Stack v1 product. The migration to CSv2 is part of our long-term roadmap to improve our container product, and to deliver a better experience to you.
What do you need to do?
You don't need to do anything for now. We'll provide an automatic transitioning mechanism to move from CSv1 to CSv2 with ease. This will only require you to set up the migration before 28th February 2018. More details will be communicated soon. Here is a summary with the important dates:
The move will be done in two phases:
Phase I - the creation of any new installs of Container Stack v1 will be disabled, from the 31st of December 31st, 2017.
Phase II - by the end of February 28th, 2018, all the existing Container Stacks v1 need to be migrated to CSv2. Your existing stacks will still run, but you won't be able to deploy them.
What has changed in CSv2?
With CSv2 you will have access to all the same features as before, with the new orchestration engine (now powered by Kubernetes) and a new networking provider (Calico replaces Weave).
