Welcome to the Cloud 66 Changelog. Please have a quick look at the latest changes that went out this week!
Starter
We are thrilled to announce Starter a new, open source command line that is now available at Cloud 66. Starter is a standalone Dockerfile and service.yml generator for your existing non-docker applications.
Find out more on our help page and read our step-by-step guide how to migrating a Rails application to Docker, using Starter.
We are pretty excited about this one, so try Starter out, and contribute; we can't wait for your feedback!
Service Host Auto-Matching
If you are running different service containers across your docker cluster servers, any traffic to a server that does not contain the desired service will automatically be passed to a server that does have it!
This requirement was driven by users with micro-services stacks that could not have every service present on every server (for resourcing reasons).
For more information check out our help page.
Toolbelt
Since the last release we have been working on fixes and updates for our toolbelt and we have added the following new features:
- Scaling processes
- Stack reboot
- Server reboot
These features allow you to customise your background processes for classic stacks, and gives you more convenience!
Weave v1.4.4
We now support Weave v1.4.4. This version resolved an issue related to restarting Docker 1.10.1 or rebooting your machine while the Weave Net plugin is running.
Docker v1.10.1
The new version of Docker 1.10.1 is now fully supported by Cloud 66. This release includes new compose file, improves security and networking.
