Stack Security Improvement

Last week we released some new features on Cloud 66. The most important one is an improved security of your stack servers.

We now configure iptable based firewalls on every cloud server we provision and manage. This includes stacks deployed before this release as well.

The firewall settings are dynamically managed depending on the number of servers and services that we deployed on them (like your database type).

Nginx Workers

Another improvement that was in last week’s release was the automatic and dynamic configuration of frontend nginx servers based on the server size. This is only applicable to cloud servers and is enabled for all supported cloud providers on Cloud 66.

Github Login

Just to make our users a little bit happier we enabled login with Github on the site. If you use the same email address as your Cloud 66 email on Github, your accounts will be updated. A different email address on Github will create a new Cloud 66 account.

Batch Upload of Environment Variables

Now you can upload your environment variables in a batch from a file. This was a highly requested feature and we are happy to announce that it is now available for all stacks.
