Changelog 3rd March 2016

Welcome to the Cloud 66 Changelog. Please take a quick look at the latest changes that went out this week!

Habitus

Last week we announced Habitus a new, Open Source Docker Build Flow Tool. It's a command line tool that builds Docker images based on their Dockerfile and a build.yml.

Read more about Habitus in our blog post.

We're pretty excited about this one, so try Habitus out, contribute; and we can't wait for your feedback!

Inter-Stack Firewall

We're pleased to announce a release of the new feature called, Inter-Stack Firewall that is now available on all stacks.

Inter-Stack Firewall automatically takes the pain away from the manual set-ups in the inter-stack communication that is required e.g. when 2 different stacks share the same database.

For more information check out our blog post

Multi-region for managed backups

This was a highly requested feature by you. Before this update, all managed backups were stored in the AWS US East-1 region, which was not ideal for those who had their stack servers based outside the US.

With the multi-region release, your managed backups created on Cloud 66 stacks (regardless of the cloud provider) are stored automatically in the data centre region closest to you.

Check out our blog post covering this in more detail.

Deployment Gateway (Bastion Server)

We recommend using Bastian Server to improve your infrastructure security. Now, Cloud 66 deploys your application into a DMZ and maintains it for you.

To deploy your stack in a DMZ simply configure a Deployment Gateway in your Cloud 66 account and specify the information of the bastion server.

Google Login

For convenience, we've given you the additional option of accessing your Cloud 66 account by using your Google login details. Accessing Cloud 66 has never been easier :)

Weave v1.4.5

The new version of Weave 1.4.5 is now supported by Cloud 66. This update fixes issues related to Weave plug in and Docker 1.10.

Docker v1.10.2

We're now supporting the new version of Docker 1.10.2.
