If you are using AWS to deploy your stacks you know that during the scaling of the stack there is no option to select your preferred availability zone. This was left to AWS to select an AZ with enough spare capacity.
This is now changed: you can select the availability zone of your servers manually during scaling. The Automatic option is still available for those who want to leave the decision to AWS.
We thing this helps a lot of our customers with their redundancy requirements as well as ensuring lower latency between instances.
